ZEBRA ENVIRONMENTAL STEERING TEAM Here’s what we’ve been working on in 2022 2023

Another project we’ve kicked off this year is the wildlife haven at our head offices. Over a three-day weekend of long and hard work, we’ve taken a piece of unused land and a beautiful area of woodland, and started creating a sanctuary for plants, wildlife and employees. We’ve been clearing brambles, digging a pond, developing paths, building a bridge and even creating composting bins to support the waste reduction initiatives we have in our offices. In spring, we’ll be sowing, planting, nurturing and tending to wildflower meadows, a mini orchard, a natural pond, and a sun-drenched woodland clearing peppered with butterflies, birds, bees and dragonflies. WILDLIFE GARDEN Reduced foil and glitter on greetings card ranges Majority of calendar range for 2024 is plastic-free Spring Seasons card offering now in plastic-free packaging Plastic-free packaging being improved across the ranges PRODUCT ACHIEVEMENTS ELECTRICITY & GAS CARBON EMISSIONS REDUCTION DIARY “WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS HAVEN GROW AND DEVELOP OVER THE COMING YEARS.”

Targets adopted by companies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are considered “sciencebased” if they are in line with the level of decarbonisation required to keep global temperature increase below 2 degrees Celsius, and pursuing efforts to limit warming to 1.5 degrees, compared to pre-industrial temperatures. DEFINITION OF SCIENCE-BASED TARGETS Science-based targets provide companies with a clearly defined pathway specifying how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, in the context of their longer-term business growth. The Science Based Targets Initiative champions fact-based target setting in the transition to the low-carbon economy. It is a collaboration between CDP, World Resources Institute (WRI), the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), and the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
